Professor BU-MIIN HUANG received his PhD in 1995 from Department of Cell Biology and Biochemistry (Anatomy program), School of Medicine, Texas Tech University, Texas, USA. He then jointed Department of Cell Biology and Anatomy, School of Medicine, National Cheng Kung University, working on male reproductive function and testicular cancer. Now, he moves to Department of Biomedical Sciences in National Chung Cheng University.

Professor Huang majorly investigates the effects of Chinese herbs, growth factors, anesthetic drugs and toxicants on male reproductive function and testicular cancer with cellular and molecular mechanism examinations. Recently, Professor Huang has the foci on how Cordyceps sinensis/cordycepin regulate testosterone production; how Cordyceps sinensis/cordycepin suppress testicular cancer growth; how FGF9 induces testosterone production; and how FGF9 promotes testicular cancer cell and stem cell growths.
