A joint research project from CCU Biomedical Sciences and the Chia Yi Christian Hospital (CYCH) has recently discovered that cyproheptadine, an anti-histamine, exhibited anti-tumor activity. This joint research project, which was first initiated by Prof. De-Ching Chang and now by Prof Michael Chan and several other medical doctors from CYCH including Dr. CH Shen, has uncovered the role of this anti-histamine in reversing the cancer epigenome. This work was recently published in the highly regarded Oncology journal “Oncogene”.
